Team & Investors

Our founding team and core members have deep experience from successful web2 gaming companies, including a co-founder of Kolibri Games (creators of Idle Miner Tycoon, with over 100 million downloads), later acquired by Ubisoft. We have direct experience scaling games, fostering active communities, and running profitable gaming businesses. Additionally, we’re backed by leading investors including 1kx, Makers Fund, and Rockaway, who fully support our long-term vision.

When we started VOYA Games, we wrote three words on the wall: Fun, Everyone, Forever. These words still define our core values and ambitions.

Fun

In web2, players spend almost $200 billion each year on games primarily because they're fun. Many web3 games have focused too heavily on play-to-earn mechanics and tokenomics rather than gameplay. We believe the bigger opportunity lies in bringing fun, engaging experiences to web3 and attracting the vast audience currently playing web2 games. Without fun, players simply won’t stick around, no matter how strong the incentives or marketing.

Community is web3’s greatest strength. Over time, we've carefully built a loyal community that shares our values. We see every community member as an extension of our team, welcoming their feedback and ideas openly. We manage our resources carefully, maintain a lean and effective team, and have secured sufficient runway to build thoughtfully.
